Lockdown 3.0 Online Timetable & Events
Birmingham entered tier 4 from 31/12/20 so unfortunately CDC Dance couldn't reopen the studios as planned and returned to an online model from Monday 4th January 2021.
This was then increased to a national lockdown, expected to span until mid-February We will closely follow government restrictions reviews & instructions & will be ready to reopen the studios as soon as we are allowed.
We have lots planned for this term though and won't let this
little setback stand in our way: so far we've enjoyed:
Online workshop with CATS performers
Grace Walker & Morgan Scott for CDC Dance!
Princess Workshop with Sleeping Beauty
TikTok Masterclass with Zoe Humphreys
LOL Diva Dance Party
'Strictly' Latin Workshop with Katie Arkwright
Next up we have:
Saturday 6th March, 3:30pm
Toy Story Dance, Craft & Games Workshop - bring a pen & a potato!
Tuesday 16th March, 6pm
Online workshop with School of Rock performer Morgan Scott

These workshop with industry professionals, are being
offered to existing CDC Dance students for FREE, however you
must book your place by emailing:

You will then be emailed the link to join the session.
Places are limited, so get in quick!
Please share the details with friends/family who may also be interested,
as we are opening up this opportunity outside of the dance school for
£5, purchased from our online shop.
Now we are in lockdown again, with most students at home, we want to offer more to keep us active, engaged, and making leaps forward. This year, as our large scale events were cancelled, we've not awarded any Achievement Trophies. These 2 things in mind, we're launching our Lockdown Goals Challenge - the winners of which will receive Achievement Award trophies but every single dancer who enters will receive a prize, on top of smashing their individual goals! What's not to like?!
Each dancer should complete their own goals on our web contact form, which asks for 3 goals: mastering a new skill; committing to a regular, diarised practice/stretch session; choreographing a routine (any dance style), which showcases your lockdown achievements: Lockdown Goals Challenge
This is their own goals; challenging but achievable; building on their passions, interests, in-class work and individual effort. By making public declarations of their goals, we hope to inspire students to commit to influencing their own progress and we will be happy to support working on their goals in class and provide feedback. We want dancers & parents to share photos/videos of their independent work towards the challenge to keep everyone abreast of progress.
Again, we want to offer a value-added proposition, with all students and customers able to join any timetabled classes across 6 days of online live sessions, regardless of in-studio enrolments. We have taken the approach of allocating different days to different disciplines, very similar to the last lockdown, however to be fair to all we have moved Tiddlers, Infants & Juniors tap & ballet sessions to Saturdays this time. Please attend as many sessions as possible to maximise value - try some new disciplines & make sure you stay on track with your regular classes.
Any dancers or parents interested in dance fitness are welcome to join any of the Zoom sessions on offer, & we will once again load the Zoom recordings of IDTA grade classes and all the fitness classes onto our YouTube playlists so you can catch up on any you miss live.
We will use the same, single Zoom details for all lockdown classes (unique ones for the events though so make sure you book your place), which will be emailed to customers again & also shared on our private Facebook Group.
